Our story

Maison en Cuir grew from a family appreciation for leather, its character, its durability and the way it becomes more personal with time. Across generations, leather objects were valued not simply for how they looked when new, but for the stories they gathered through years of use. This affection for enduring materials shaped the way we came to understand quality.

With European and Latin American roots, the Maison reflects a meeting of different sensibilities. Restraint meets warmth, precision meets expression, and simplicity meets character. These influences naturally became part of how we approached design.

We began with the vanity case, a familiar object reimagined through this inherited perspective. We wanted to create something functional and refined, but also personal. An object that could become part of everyday routines and remain there for years.

That first piece became the beginning of Maison en Cuir. Today, every design continues the same story: a family appreciation for leather, translated into considered objects for modern life.

Our purpose

We believe function and beauty should belong together.

The objects we reach for every day influence how a routine feels. When they are thoughtfully designed, and when everything has its place, they can bring a sense of calm, clarity and intention to ordinary moments.

Our purpose is to create fewer, better objects and encourage a more considered relationship with the things we own. We do not design for constant replacement or short-lived novelty. Instead, we ask whether a piece is useful, whether it will remain relevant and whether it deserves to be kept.

L’essentiel bien fait.

Fewer things. Made better. Kept longer.
